The Urology Group

Thank you for your support of the
2012 Great Prostate Cancer Challenge 5K Run/Walk

Despite heavy rain, a record-breaking 874 runners and walkers came out for the 6th annual Great Prostate Cancer Challenge in Cincinnati on Saturday, September 8!

The event was a huge success in raising funds and awareness for prostate cancer.  Oscar Robertson

The Urology Group is proud of the efforts of its staff and volunteers who worked hard to make the event successful. Not only did they work together to deliver a race with the highest participation to date but also helped us celebrate the opening of our new headquarters and advanced surgery facility on the same day!

NBA legend and prostate cancer survivor, Oscar Robertson, served as our Honorary Chairperson for this year's event. He enjoyed breakfast with fellow survivors and helped cut the ribbon on our new facility.

Thanks to the participation of more than 40 national and local sponsors, who also contributed to the cause that supports prostate cancer research, free screenings and increased awareness to the importance of early detection. All funds raised go to ZERO - The End of Prostate Cancer.

The Great Prostate Cancer Challenge is an opportunity for the physicians at The Urology Group to advance our mission of fighting prostate cancer. More than 218,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year – one new case every two and a half minutes – and more than 32,000 will die from this disease. We can bring an end to prostate cancer, but only with your help. We look forward to seeing everyone at next year's race!
